At Koo Wee Rup Secondary College we believe that each teacher has something unique to offer. That’s why we have an open recruitment process to help us find the right individuals to join us at the college.

KWRSC recognises that supporting teachers in the transition to either the teaching profession, a new school, a new sector or a new jurisdiction, Our program allows teachers to seamlessly integrate into the school community, ultimately enabling them to more quickly reach their full potential and support our key priorities
Innovative Initial Teacher Education (IITE) programs seek to boost the supply of teachers in Victorian government secondary and specialist schools, particularly in outer-metropolitan, rural and remote locations and priority subject areas.
The Department is working in partnership with the following universities to attract and train pre-service teachers.

- Deakin University (open)
- Federation University (open)
- Monash University (closed)
- University of Melbourne (open)
All University students are required to be formally matched with a host school for the duration of their accelerated pathway. University students will be supported by a university mentor and a school-based mentor from their host school.

The College invites Pre-service Teachers (PST) to complete their professional practice placements at Koo Wee Rup Secondary College, as agreed between the Department and all Victorian universities and other initial teacher education (ITE) providers.
We offer a range of supports and mentor programs to assist Pre-service Teachers in beginning their journey in Teaching and Learning
